staring you in the face

I love it when things just stare us straight in the face...even my "daily literary quote" is urging me to take action:

"Take rest; a field that has rested gives beautiful crops." — Ovid

mmm-hmmm...I really needed to hear that.

  1. You deserve all the time you are going to give yourself. When does your LOA start?

Regarding your previous post, I understand completely. I thought, when I first began to manage people, that working hard would show a good example that others would follow. It usualy seems that my staff see my hard work as a protective shield behind which they can slack off. Everything I do to try to get them to step up is met with eye rolling, whining, etc...

I think being a "boss" is the hardest thing I do. Even harder than parenting (and there's a lot of skills transfer there!)
